My name is Annie and I am an urban mama. My husband and I are raising an urban baby in a one-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. I am the director of corps engagement at Teach For America’s New York regional office and my husband, Jude, is a sous chef at Momofuku in the East Village. Jude and I met in college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and we have been together over 10 years. We got married on 07.07.07 and had our first baby, Ruby, two years later on 07.08.09.
We took our first family vacation to Montauk, NY in September.
I grew up in Hong Kong, Singapore, and La Crosse, Wisconsin. My huband grew up in Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Between us, we have also lived in London, Amsterdam, Prague, Chicago, and Madison, Wisconsin. Although we clearly love to get around, we have now lived in New York City for over 3 years–the longest time we have spent in one place as adults.
We love to laugh together and we hope Ruby will love to laugh with us, too.
Ruby is the sunshine of my life.
Jude is a phenomenal husband and an even better dad.
